So Mex, have you found it slightly disconcerting that when you are giving her one she is kicking back and dreaming of the Pellegrini Plough?

This nonsense on Pellegrini’s looks reminds me of an odd conversation I has with the Misses a few weeks ago.

Me: We’ve broken our transfer fee and signed a Brazilian called Anderson, sounds an interesting player.

Misses: Oh, thats good

Me: Yes it is, he is a fast attacking midfielder should be good to watch.

No reply.....

Me: Still the best thing we have done this summer is get Pellegrini in as our manager

Misses: (actually taking some interest) Really, that is good, that will make it better to see West Ham

Me: Yes, he plays good football, I liked him at Man City and he did very well with Villareal

Misses: Yes, and it will be good to see you with the most handsome manager in the Premier since Mancini left.

Me: What?

Conversation kind of ended there, I do not often talk to the misses about football and you can see why I prefer to bore you lot

Can only assume Pellegrini ascribes some Samson-esque powers to his barnet. Season's end we could be champions and appear to be managed by Gandalf.

But any haircut could be dangerous.

He may acquire Sansom-esque power, and by season's end he will be pissed, jobless, and living in a skip.

Now we are on the subject of Senor Pellegrini's magnificent locks, am I the only one who feels that in the next remake of Dad's Army he would make a perfect Sgt. Wilson.

I'm sorry, Lily SON, but the prospect of NOBES lifting the Premier League trophy at the ICONIC London Stadium next May, with an ageing HIPPY in the background is rather too much to contemplate.

I'd rather see us relegated.

i am fully expecting a dicking at Anfield..because we will make a game of it..rather than being outclassed and lose before a ball is kicked

we are going to have a good season..

Now we've seen a few games (albeit only friendlies), I've had time to form an impression of Pellegrini as West Ham manager, and here is what I think;

He needs to get his hair cut.

Pellegrini is said to be happy with all his CBs, Balbuena, Diop,Ogbonna and Rice( Reid to return at his convenience), and being a former centre back himself,we must surely put our trust in him and his coaches.

A few on here have said Balbuena was a beast but not according to C&H

Balbuena: Couple of scary moments when dispossessed and a misplaced pass led to dangerous attacks. Jury out 5

Cheers Mex. Followed the updates, just don’t have FB for the video.

A win’s a win though, and Balbuena sounds the part.
